Business Post - After Raising $2.4m, Klasha Extends Services to Ghana

Financial Technology-oriented company, Klasha, has successfully expanded its services of providing borderless payments for e-commerce to Ghana.

This comes after the San Francisco and Lagos-based company secured a sum of $2.4 million in a seed funding round to help retailers such as ASOS, Zara, and H&M receive payments from African consumers.

After the round, the cross-border company said it has plans to expand its reach beyond its current position in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya, with three more African countries to be added before the end of 2021.

With its expansion to Ghana, Klasha says it is opening in the republic to seamless international e-commerce and enabling seamless business extension into the region for global merchants.

In other words, merchants can readily key into Ghana’s e-commerce economy, which is expected to rise to $811 million by 2024 from its current value at $429 million.

The development also means that the Klasha mobile app is now available in Ghana with added functionalities, including instant money transfer between Ghana and Nigeria.
